Description: This experiment involved two different testing methods that had completely different procedures. The first test: five 100ml samples of water were taken about two hours before they were taken for testing. A packet of Colilert was added to every 100ml sample and then the samples were incubated for 24 hours at 35 degrees Celsius. The next day the samples were taken out of incubation and examined. The second test was done by coating the bottom of a petri dish with a lactose broth. Then, a thin layer of water was poured over the broth. Any excess water was poured out and the dishes were incubated at 44.5 degrees Celsius for 24 hours. The next day the samples were removed and examined with a dissection microscope (spectroscope).

This increases depth perception and three-dimensional viewing ability, with applications in long term vision therapy.

World AIDS Day 2008
